Check out the highlights from Neomobile’s participation at the biggest global event on Mobile technology – Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona

Mobile World Congress is the largest international mobile conference focused on the mobile innovation, and for over a decade it represents the ideal opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with industry leaders. With the increasing interest in mobile payments and carrier billing, and our expanding global business, this year Neomobile had to enlarge its presence to 2 stands, a meeting room and an open stand in the most attractive Hall 8.1 – App planet.
Our experience  has been an excellent one and it already resulted in fruitful partnerships with other companies who want to leverage Neomobile’s technologies and services for their own businesses. It has also been a great opportunity to meet our current partners and strengthen the existing partnerships.
Furthermore our CEO Gianluca D’Agostino was a keynote speaker at the most exciting and anticipated event during the MWC, the 4YFN (4 Years From Now), a startup event devoted to innovation in the mobile and digital ecosystem and a business platform focused on building ideas and forging lasting relationships for international startups.  Gianluca spoke on the FiWare Terrace, on ‘Mobile monetization for Digital Media today and tomorrow – tricks & tips’.

As a MWC veterans (this has been our 8th participation in a row) we are able to observe the rapid evolution of the mobile industry through the event itself.

Back in 2008 the event was dominated by the likes of Sony Ericsson, with its W910 Walkman Phone that won the best handset award, and Samsung, Nokia, and Motorola. In 2010 we saw the arrival of Android wave that dominated numerous devices, with HTC that took the spotlight. The next few years were surely marked by the dominance of Samsung with its Galaxy S2 and S3 but also with the rise of Apps and digital goods that since 2012 have their own dedicated Hall. Last few years are showing the remarkable rise of tablets, phablets and wearables, but also the increased interest in Mobile payments, M-health, NFC and new content verticals, such as Video, Music and Games.
